MEET THE OWNERS
Owners Kayla Bubalo and Jami Gentry both bring a passion and love for hair. They met in high school, attended cosmetology school together, and both began working at Changes Hair Studio shortly after.
They love the community they call home and wanted to be a bigger part of that. This was a big reason that prompted them to purchase Changes Hair Studio in early 2024 from founder, Sandra Hasting. Jami is also the daughter of Sandra, and it was important for her to carry on her family’s legacy.
With more than 15 years of friendship, Kayla and Jami feel their partnership will continue to benefit the salon. “I honestly wouldn’t want a salon without her. We are yin and yang – very opposite of each other in all the right ways. I trust and respect her and believe in our partnership,” says Kayla. Jami agrees by adding, “I think we are both the calm to each other's storm and a wonderful balancing act.”
A family friendly salon atmosphere has always been a core value of Changes Hair Studio and both Kayla and Jami believe that is essential to preserve. “I believe in upholding my mother's visions and values for the salon she created but at the same time putting mine and Kayla's own spin on it,” mentions Jami.
